Class Procedures and Reminders
Project Stack. As always, the project stack is huge on Monday! While you are waiting on comments back from me, you can check the stack to make sure I received your project. I'll be working today on the projects that were still left in the stack on Friday.
Half-way through! With Week 7, we are getting to the halfway point of the semester, and Week 8 will be a review week (instead of the regular reading and storytelling, there are some reflection-and-planning posts). You can check to make sure you are on track with this Progress Chart.
The following items are for fun and exploration:
Blog stream. From Hanna, here's a two-sentence horror microfiction from last week's Story Lab: The Lockpicking Lawyer. And she snagged the cool graphic from the Netflix show!
As we get into the second half of the semester, I hope even more of you will try some microfiction experiments, and hopefully we can do a microfiction book together. Here's last semester's book: Fall 2020 Anthology.
Plus people have been sharing some music videos at the Padlet recently: thank you to everybody who did that! Take a listen:

Twitter stream. From Public Domain Review, an amazing collection of artwork depicting dreams: The Art of Dreams.
Plus the ancient Indian Panchatantra showed up at Twitter, again thanks to the Public Domain Review!
And a super-cool jigsaw puzzle from the British Library: the image shows Bahram Gur proves his worthiness by killing a dragon.
And here's a mythology proverb from Legonium:
From NPR, a wonderful interview with Maeve Gilchrist, who plays the Celtic harp: Maeve Gilchrist's New Album Features Heavenly Harp Music.
And if you're curious about the Celtic languages, here's a video:
Plus an Old Irish poem to enjoy from the 9th century: Pangur Ban. More at Wikipedia. I and Pangur Ban my cat, / 'Tis a like task we are at: / Hunting mice is his delight, / Hunting words I sit all night. / Better far than praise of men / 'Tis to sit with book and pen. / Pangur bears me no ill-will; / He too plies his simple skill.
March 8: Michael Hart. Today marks the birthday in 1947 of Michael Hart, the founder of Project Gutenberg and one of my online heroes! Sadly, Michael Hart died in 2011, but his legacy lives on in the amazing Project Gutenberg. You can read more about his life and achievements at Wikipedia, and the image below is from his obituary in The Economist.
