Today is Tuesday of Week 12. Here is a link to Week 12, plus Week 13 for anyone who is working ahead. You can see the rest of the calendar here; just four weeks to go!

Class Procedures and Reminders

Project Stack. Yesterday I replied to all the projects that were in the stack on Friday last week, and today I'll start working on the projects people turned in on Sautrday. As always, you can check the stack to make sure I received your project.

Mix-and-match. As you make your plan to finish up in these remaining weeks, you can definitely mix-and-match, using the assignments you find most useful and/or fun. So if you enjoy the reading, feel free to jump on ahead and do reading from Weeks 13-14-15 now, or if you like working on your project, you can focus on that. Any combination of points that gets you to your goal is good (410 A, 360 B, 320 C), and if you have questions about that, just let me know!

The following items are for fun and exploration:

Blog stream. This is actually from the class Padlet; the theme of feeling sleep-deprived comes up repeatedly, and I thought these two gifs that people had shared there were so cute! You can jump in at the Padlet anytime. :-)

Twitter stream. If you are out and about, you can still see the Spiro Mound exhibit up at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum:

Some gorgeous art from India; people in the Indian Epics class will recognize Jatayu here, trying to rescue Sita from Ravana:

Also from India: a lovely flower saluting the elephant-headed god, Ganesha.

And I saw this Navajo video thanks to Cassie Gilman at OU:

Here's some inspiration for getting to the end of the semester: O snail, climb Mount Fuji, but slowly, slowly!

And a video with a similar message: the power of yet!

Ramadan. Yesterday evening at sundown marked the beginning of the Muslim celebration of Ramadan, which is a month of fasting and prayer that culminates in the festival of Eid al-Fitr which takes place on the evening of May 12 this year. You can find out more about Ramadan at Wikipedia, and here's an infographic from OU Student Affairs (click that link for a larger version):

And here's another helpful infographic (click link for the larger version).
