Class Procedures and Reminders

Success Tip: Stop multitasking. I'm sure many of you are dealing with a lot of tasks right now, all of them important. If you want to increase your powers of attention, stop trying to multitask. Here's why: This Is How To Increase Your Attention Span.

Project Stack. I sent around reminders on Friday for those of you turning in a project assignment this weekend, and you can check the stack to make sure I received your email.

Blog Stream. I've always been interested in the parallels between the Indian hero Krishna and the Greek hero Hercules, so of course Zach's new story got my attention: Krishcules Defeats the Wind.


Myth Item. There are all kinds of delights in this Literary Map of London. Even Dick Whittington's cat is there!


India Video: Here is a promotional video for one of the comic books on Reserve in Bizzell: Divine Beings: Airavata, Jatayu, Nandi and Others. This is one of the reading options for Indian Epics in the coming weeks.


Myth Book Online: Today's free book is Stories of Beowulf by Henrietta Elizabeth Marshall . See the Freebookapalooza blog for links and the table of contents. Some of you in Myth-Folklore might be reading Beowulf next week.

April 8: International Day of the Roma. Today is an international holiday in honor of the traditions of the Roma people, whom you may know by the name "Gypsy." You can read more about the Romani people in this Wikipedia article, and the Sacred Texts Archive has a section devoted to Roma folktales and traditions. If you have a free moment today, read a folktale in honor of the Roma! Here is a photograph of a Roma woman and her daughter in Yorkshire, England in 1916:
