Today is Thursday of Week 11. If you have not done your story yet for this week, that means today is Storytelling Day. Go wild, and try something new! Here is a link to all of the Week 11 assignments.

Class Procedures and Reminders

Success Tip: Don't be afraid to daydream. Being able to focus your attention is important, but it can also be important to let your mind wander: "Those who reported more frequent daydreaming scored higher on intellectual and creative ability and had more efficient brain systems measured in the MRI machine." Find out more here: Science Daily -- Daydreaming.

Project Stack. If you turned something in by 10PM on Sunday, you should have comments back from me, and I'll keep working on the Sunday assignments today. While you are waiting on comments back from me, you can check the stack to make sure I received your email.

Always upload images. Sometimes it works to copy and paste images, but often it does not. If you get in the habit of uploading images to your blog posts, you won't run into any trouble. Here's how that works in Blogger: Upload Blog Post Images. If you try to copy and paste, you might run into a site that blocks remote linking, like Pixabay for example. Always upload: that will work for sure!

The following items are for fun and exploration:

Blog Stream. There are some more people who have finished up the class early, and I wanted to share this item from Arianna's blog; she's done with Myth-Folklore, and she's excited about graduating: One Step Closer to Graduation.

India Item. I thought you might be interested in this Rama and Sita coin, minted around the year 1600. Sita is holding lotuses, while Rama is holding a bow and arrow:

April 5: Pocahontas. Today marks the wedding anniversary of Pocahontas, daughter of Chief Powhatan of Virginia, who married the Virginia settler John Rolfe on this day in 1614. If you are curious about the historical account of Pocahontas' very dramatic life (i.e. not the Disney version), take a look at this article in Wikipedia. Below is a portrait of Pocahantas that was done during her lifetime (she was born circa 1595 and died in 1617; the portrait dates to the year 1616):
