Saturday, April 22

Today is Saturday of Week 13. This is the next-to-last weekend for this class, so if you are looking for some extra credit, now is a good time to do that!

Class Procedures and Reminders

Project Stack. On Friday, I finished all the Week 12 assignments and most of the Week 13 assignments; the ones that were left will be at the top of the stack on Monday, and if you turn in your assignment today, you'll get comments back more quickly next week! Meanwhile, you can check the stack to make sure I received your email.

Finishing up the class. After this weekend, there are just TWO more weeks of school: Week 14 and Week 15 (Dead Week). So, make sure you have a plan now for finishing up the class based on choosing what assignments you want to work on, deciding on how many stories you want to include in your Portfolio or Storybook, etc. If you have questions about any of that, let me know; you can find more information here: Progress Chart.

April 22: Earth Day. Today, April 22, is Earth Day. You can read about this holiday in Wikipedia. In honor of Earth Day, I wanted to reflect on how much paper we have saved in this class. Based on the amount of writing and number of students, I would estimate that we have saved about 9000 pages, or 18 reams of paper, this semester. So, by working online like this, we have saved a tree!
