Class Procedures and Reminders
Week 9 Project assignment. As you may have already seen in the Week 9 assignments page, I'll be out of town next week on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday in order to give a lecture at Creighton University. So, make sure you check the information here to see how that will work: about the Week 9 projects.
Project Stack. Yesterday I replied to all the projects that were turned in on Sunday, and today I'll get to all the projects that were turned in during the grace period. While you are waiting on comments back from me about your Project assignment, you can check the stack to make sure I received your email.
Extra Credit. Friday is a great occasion to do a Famous Last Words post! Find out more in the extra credit section of this week's assignments.
Finishing the class. A few people are getting close to finishing the class. I've added the "Finished!" menu item in Canvas, which takes you to a form you can fill out to let me know when you are done with the class. As soon as you have the points you need (410 for an A, 360 for a B, 320 for a C), you are done!
The following items are for fun and exploration:
Class Twitter. From yesterday's Twitter @OnlineMythIndia, here is an item from #FolkloreThursday; it's an article about Mermaid Folktales of the 19th Century.
Storybook Archive. This project is from the Myth-Folklore class: Celtic Creature Criminal Court Clerk. Even mischief-making fairies have rules that must be obeyed, and in this Storybook you will read about those fairy tale criminals who have broken the laws of fairyland.
Video: The video for today is Epified's Krishna video series. This is a great introduction to the adventures of Krishna, and some of you in Indian Epics may be choosing this as a reading option for next week.
Growth Mindset: Today's growth mindset cat is not giving up: You must persist despite setbacks. You can find out more at the Growth Mindset blog.
Event on Campus: It's the OU Botany Fall Plant Sale from 12PM-4PM at the greenhouse across from stadium parking (details). Find out more about this and other events at the Campus Calendar online.
