Today is Wednesday of Week 9. The second part of the reading is due today, and I hope you are getting some good ideas for a story you want to tell! Here is a link to this week's assignments.

Class Procedures and Reminders

Project Stack. If you turned in something on Saturday or Sunday morning, you should have gotten comments back from me. Today I'll be working on the assignments turned in Sunday afternoon. While you are waiting on comments back from me about your Project assignment, you can check the stack to make sure I received your email.

Class Twitter. From yesterday's Twitter @OnlineMythIndia, here is a sand sculpture of the goddess Lakshmi for the holiday of Dhanteras.

Proverbs. This is a proverb from Estonia: The one who is not strong enough to lift the stone must roll it. The image is one of the dwarves of Wrocław in Poland.

Storybook Archive. This project is from the Indian Epics class: Horses Divine - Horses Divine. This Storybook combines both Hindu and Buddhist stories of cosmic horses: Uchchaihshravas, Hayagriva, Valaha, and Devadatta.

Free Book Online: Today's free book is Stories and Legends of Annam by Clotilde Chivas-Baron. See the Freebookapalooza blog for links and the table of contents. "Annam" is the old name of the country now known as Vietnam.

Story of the Day. Today's story is from Aesop's fables: The Donkey and the Icon. When people bow down to worship the holy icon that the donkey is carrying, the donkey thinks they are bowing down to honor him!
