Class Procedures and Reminders
Designing your blog. As you visit other people's blogs, you will see different designs, and it's easy to change your blog layout anytime, choosing a new background image, etc. So if you are ready to customize your blog, there are some Tech Tips you can use. For example, if you are graduating this semester, you might want to add a graduation countdown widget to the sidebar!
Project Stack. I've read and replied to all the assignments turned in on Sunday, and I'll get through the rest of the Week 5 assignments in the stack today, plus as many of the Week 6 (and later) assignments as I can. As always, you can check the stack to make sure I received your email.

Growth Mindset Cats. This cat has some advice for the end of the week: Study hard, and then take a break.
This is an oldie-but-a-goodie from Professor Michael Wesch all about hypertext and the kinds of writing the digital world has made possible: The Machine is Us/ing Us
Event near Campus. At 7PM tonight there will be a SLAM Anti-Blackness Poetry and Spoken Word event at Second Wind Coffeehouse on Buchanan (details)
February 22: Rashi. Today marks the birthday in the year 1040 of the great French rabbi Rashi, the author of one of the most important commentaries on the Hebrew Bible. His name, Rashi, is an acronym: from Rabbi Shlomo Yitzhaki, we get the nickname R-SH-I (it's kind of like the way we use the acronym names JFK or LBJ). You can read about his career in at Wikipedia.
