SPRING SEMESTER 2009. The courses are ready to go! For those of you who want to get a head start, Week 1 and Week 2 are both available now. Please go to the website for the course(s) you are enrolled in in order to get started - just click on the link for Week 1: Orientation and you will see the first week's activities if you want to start now. Week 2 is also available!

TUESDAY: Classes will begin on Tuesday. Tuesday, January 20, is the official first day of the Spring semester, and you DO have assignments due on that day. So, please make sure you get started as soon as possible. Here is the list of Week 1 Assignments - and I would definitely advise you to print out a copy so that you can check them off one by one as you complete them. If you have any questions at all as you get started, please let me know! (laura-gibbs@ou.edu)

Working ahead: Week 2. For those of you who want to work ahead, the Week 1 assignments AND the Week 2 assignments are also available now. The Week 3 assignments will become available tomorrow, on Tuesday. That represents the schedule you will see throughout the whole semester. You can work up to two weeks ahead, so when Week 1 officially begins on Tuesday, you can also be working ahead on Week 2 and also on Week 3.

Martin Luther King Day 2009. Today is a holiday in honor of Martin Luther King, and in honor of all that the civil rights movement accomplished to bring America closer to its ideals of justice and freedom and equality. You can listen to the entire "I Have a Dream" speech at YouTube... if you have 17 minutes to spare this day, I hope you will choose to do that! You can also find many other materials at YouTube to watch and learn from: Martin Luther King at YouTube.com.
