- Something unexpected might come up. It could be something good (party!) or something bad (fender bender!), but either way, it's good to have the freedom to be flexible.
- No technology is 100%. Your computer might get cranky, or your wifi might get fussy. Work a day ahead and you can find an alternative way to do the work the next day.
- Work done in haste is not good work. If you are reading quickly or writing quickly, you are probably not going to be doing your best work.
I'm sure you can supply many more reasons based on things that have gone wrong when putting schoolwork off to the last minute. So, in the same way you have scheduled times to "go to class" for a classroom-based class, you should do that for online classes too. The following schedules are just possibilities: you can mix-and-match in all kinds of ways, based on your existing time commitments.
ASSIGNMENTS. Each week there are 6 assignments: Reading 1 and 2 (you can do just one of those if you are short on time), Storytelling, Your Project, Project Feedback, and Blog Commenting. There are also lots of extra credit options you can do... and building up a cushion of extra credit is a great strategy so that you can take a week off in this class for midterms or when things get busy in your life for whatever reason.
MONDAY-WEDNESDAY-FRIDAY
This is probably the most typical schedule that people choose. You don't have assignments due every day this way, and you are done by the time the weekend arrives!
Monday: 2-3 hours
Reading 1
Reading 2
Wednesday: 2 hours
Storytelling
Project Feedback
Friday: 2-3 hours
Blog Commenting
Your Project

WEEKEND ONLY
People who have full-time jobs during the week often choose this schedule. The idea is that you finish up the current week on Saturday, and then begin the new week on Sunday.
Saturday: 3-4 hours
Project Feedback
Blog Commenting
Your Project
Sunday: 3-4 hours
Reading 1
Reading 2
Storytelling

ONE-DAY ONLY
If you choose to do the "one-day only" schedule, you will be working on two weeks at once, finishing up the current week and then getting ahead on the next week. Be warned: you will need 6-8 hours to do this, so plan on spending most of the day doing your classwork. If that day is Friday, for example, it would look like this:

EVERY DAY MTWThF
If you like to spread things out, that works just fine too... the trick is to spread it out so you are not doing things on the due date, but a day or two ahead. That way, if anything unexpected comes up, you have some room to maneuver!

You can also do a one-week-on followed by one-week-off if you complete two weeks at a time. There are endless possibilities; it all depends on your personal preferences and available time.

Aliud agendi tempus, aliud quiescendi.
There's a time for working and a time for resting.
