Class Procedures and Reminders
Class ends on Friday. The class ends tomorrow, Friday, at noon, so please try to finish today, Thursday, instead of waiting until the last minute on Friday morning. As you reach the points you need for your final grade — 410 points for an A, 360 points for a B, 320 points for a C — let me know, and I'll record the letter grade for you in the D2L Gradebook.
My schedule. I'll be out of the office for a while in the afternoon, so if you have any questions about finishing the class, definitely send me an email, but if I don't reply right away, I'll get back to you later in the afternoon.
Just for fun, I made some "Grammar Catz," which are animated gif images that show cats speaking "LOLCat" alternating with correct English. Here is a Christmas Cat:
Mythology Words in English: Today's mythology word in English is HECTOR, from the name of the Trojan hero, Prince Hector. For details, see this blog post.

India Comic Book: Tulsidas Ramayana: Ram Charit Manas. This blog post provides additional information about the comic book which is on Reserve in Bizzell Library. It is a big book: five comic books bound together telling the story of the Ramayana according to the poet Tulsidas.
Words of Wisdom: Today's proverb poster is A goose-quill is more dangerous than a lion's claw (an English proverb). Details at the Proverb Lab. It's an animal version of the pen being mightier than the sword!
Today's Video: Matt Harding. Yesterday I backed Matt Harding's Kickstarter! He is one of my heroes, so I was really excited about that. Here is one of his fabulous videos:
Growth Mindset: Today's growth mindset cat is a music lover — Stay creative: listen to new music. Details at the blog.
