Sunday, October 29

Today is Sunday of Week 10. If you did not finish the end-of-week assignments yet, today is the day to do that. You might also want to do some extra credit and/or get started on next week's assignments, especially if you want to finish the class early! You can find all the assignments for this week and next week at the Class Calendar.

Class Procedures and Reminders

Project Stack. I'll check in periodically today to update the stack, and you'll be able to check the stack to make sure I received your email.

Extra Credit. The Famous Last Words is always a good one for the end of the week! Find out more in the extra credit section of this week's assignments.

Finishing the class. (repeat announcement) I would urge you to make a plan now for finishing the class based on the final four weeks (plus Dead Week) that come after this week. You can use this Progress Chart to see how you are doing, and you can ponder which types of assignments you enjoy most/least as you decide how you will finish up the semester.

The following items are for fun and exploration:

Class Twitter. From yesterday's Twitter @OnlineMythIndia, here is a beautiful image of the Aztec god Tezcatlipoca from the digital Vatican Library. You can find out more at Wikipedia.

Writing. If you're writing today, you might enjoy Grant Snider's great cartoon: All I Need to Write.

Storybook Archive. This project is from the Myth-Folklore class: Living in the Past: Tales of Ancient Vietnam. Vinh, a Vietnamese-American teenager, vacationing with his parents in Vietnam, finds himself pulled into a mysterious fantasy world where he meets four powerful dragons and a beautiful young woman named Sen.
