Class Procedures and Reminders
Wee 14 blog comments. The Week 14 blog comment assignment is ready to go, and you'll see it is different this week: remember the Advice Padlet from the start of the semester? This week I hope you will want to share some of your advice for next year's students.
Project Stack. If you turned in a project last week on or before Friday, you should have comments back from me, and today I'll start working on the assignments that were turned in on Saturday. As always you can check the stack to make sure I received your email.
The following items are for fun and exploration:
Blog Stream. It's always so cool when people do artwork for their projects, and here is a drawing that Daana made for her Storybook it represents the lives of Gandhari and Kunti intertwined: Motherhood — Two Sisters.

Featured Storybook. Here's a dramatic project: Tales of Davy Jones' Locker. One moment, our heroine is on a cruise ship, but after she's swept overboard, she wakes up on a pirate ship full of pirate ghosts.
Myth Item. This is a beautiful proverb from Vietnam that I learned from a Vietnamese student in this class several years ago: There will be no lotus if there is no mud.
India Video. Here is a video talk by another wonderful Indian novelist, Kavita Kane: Lanka's Princess, Vamp or Winner? You can learn more at this article: Why Feminism in Indian mythology matters today.
Myth Video. Here is an animation of a creation myth told by Aristophanes, the Greek comic playwright, inside the philosophical dialogue by Plato known as The Symposium: The Myth of the Missing Half.
Writing: This is a punctuation classic! You can see more variations here.
Plus a thought for the end of the semester: One day at a time.

Growth Mindset. And here is a positive growth thought for the end of the semester: You are capable of more than you think.

And speaking of self-confidence: Dungeons and Dragons Can Make You a Confident and Successful Person. (Yes, that is Mike Rugnetta of Crash Course, from his PBS days before Crash Course.)
Event on Campus. For Green Week, there will be a showing of The Lorax at 7PM in the Cross Black Box Theater, with free snacks (details).
Find out more about this and other events at the Campus Calendar online.
