Today is Tuesday of Week 9. Here is a link to Week 9 and also a link to Week 10 for those of you who are working ahead.

Class Procedures and Reminders

Week 9 Reading. Thanks to Kylie for letting me know that there was something weird about Canvas yesterday, where the Week 9 Reading items were not where they were supposed to be (one was in Week 8 and the other was in Week 10; I have no idea what happened!). Everything should be fixed now, and if you ever notice something hinky like that in Canvas, just let me know so I can fix it. :-)

Project Stack. I'm currently working on the Week 7 projects in the stack right now. This week is a big mix of Week 7-8-9 projects in the stack, so thank you for your patience while I work my way through that. As always, you can check the stack to make sure I received your assignment.

The following items are for fun and exploration:

Blog stream. Ann Marie included this lovely graphic in a blog post about one of my favorite things to do: Daydreaming.

Twitter stream. I know everybody in these classes now appreciates the value of openly licensed images to use online, so here's some good news from John Overholt about images from the Folger Shakespeare Library: Folger Reference Image Collection.

And some of you may know Professor Joshua Landis here at OU (we came to OU the same year, so we are old friends!); he shared this important article about depictions of Muhammad: How the "Ban" on Images of Muhammad Came to Be.

And some Zoom humor for the Halloween season:

Plus a Twitter video: the festival of Navratri continues!

Storybook. Here's a Storybook in the spooky spirit: What Lurks in the Shadows of India.

100-Word Stories. And an old ghost legend from India: The Bandit's Ghost.

In the #WhyIWrite spirit (see below), here are some graphics from last year's National Day on Writing:

And something to inspire your creativity from John Spencer: A Bigger Definition of Creativity.

October 20: National Day on Writing. Today is the National Day on Writing... and you can join in by sharing #WhyIWrite on the social media platform of your choice. Mine is Twitter, so you can watch that #WhyIWrite stream at Twitter.

Check out the Twitter stream for information and fun stuff during the day, or click here for past announcements.
