SPRING SEMESTER 2009. The courses are ready to go! For those of you who want to get a head start, Week 1 and Week 2 are both available now. Please go to the website for the course(s) you are enrolled in in order to get started - just click on the link for Week 1: Orientation and you will see the first week's activities if you want to start now.

Desire2Learn Gradebook and Quizzes. Especially at the beginning of the semester, there may be some disconnects between the Desire2Learn Gradebook and your Quizzes, so let me know if you take a Quiz or do a Declaration but do not see the points showing up for you in the Gradebook. Also, if for some reason you do not see your "Total Points" displayed at the top of the Gradebook, let me know and I'll get that fixed for you. It's important for you to keep an eye on the Gradebook during the semester, and if you notice anything at all out of the ordinary, just let me know and we'll get it taken care of.

OU Email "Please Reply" message. You should have received an email sent from me to your OU email address. Please make sure you reply to that email so that I know you are able to receive your OU email. Because OU email got off to a bad start this weekend (the course email rosters were not working correctly), you may have received two copies of the email and/or copies of the email in which the links were working only for those of you who use Exchange email. My apologies for the confusion! You only need to reply once to the email I sent around, and if you are having trouble with any of the links in the email, you should have an email from me called "Useful Links" which will give you the links you need in a clean format untouched by Microsoft Exchange email. :-)

Ning Invitation email
. You should be receiving an invitation to join the class Ning (where you will be blogging and interacting with other members of the class). If you have not received that invitation for some reason, please contact me to request another invitation. For information about what to do when you log on to the Ning, check this page about Setting Up Your Ning Account - and definitely pay attention to the part about your email settings. The invitation I sent may have gone to your OU dotted name address, but you are free to sign up at the Ning with whatever email address you prefer to use.

If you have any questions at all as you get started, please let me know: laura-gibbs@ou.edu.
