Project Stack. As usual on Monday, the stack is huge, and I'll be replying in the order received. While you are waiting on comments back from me, you can check the stack to make sure I got your email.

Extra Credit. If you have time on Monday morning, you can do Week 6 extra credit during the grace period. After noon, you can do the Week 7 options; you don't need to wait until the end of the week to do extra credit! Find out more in the extra credit section of this week's assignments.

The following items are for fun and exploration:

Class Twitter. From yesterday's Twitter @OnlineMythIndia, here is a collection of Debbie Ohi's drawing that come from a broken crayon. I think they're wonderful! Find out more at Debbie Ohi's website.

Proverb. Here is a Latin proverb Latin proverb for you to enjoy: A sheep does not fly into the mouth of a wolf who is sleeping. It's a wolf version of: You snooze, you lose! Here's the Latin: Non volat ovis in os lupi dormientis.

Storybook Archive. This project is from the Myth-Folklore class: Norse Giant Perspectives. The giants are often the foes of the Norse gods such as Odin and Thor; in this Storybook you get to hear the stories told from the giants' point of view, with the giants as heroes of course.

Free Book Online: Today's free book is Oral Literature in Africa by Ruth Finnegan. See the Freebookapalooza blog for links and the table of contents. This book is made available thanks to the UnGlue. It organization which raises money to buy the copyright to books and then to make them free, open publications.

Story of the Day. Today's story is from Aesop's fables: The Stag and his Reflection. This is a story with a lesson about body image.

Video: The video for today is Failing Superman. It's not easy being in school... not even for superheroes.

Growth Mindset: Today's growth mindset cat knows that feedback helps you grow: Feedback tells you that you can go higher. You can find out more at the Growth Mindset blog.

Event on Campus: There will be an informational event discussing rights for college students with disabilities hosted by OU Disability Inclusion and Awareness (DiNA) and OUr Mental Health at 7PM in the OMU Sooner Room (details). Find out more about this and other events at the Campus Calendar online.

October 2: Gandhi Jayanti. Mohandas Gandhi was born on this day in 1869. On January 30 in 1948, Gandhi was assassinated. The image below shows the memorial in New Delhi where Gandhi's body was cremated. Written on the stone you can see what were reportedly Gandhi's last words: "Hey Ram" (Oh Rama). Although there is controversy about whether those were in fact Gandhi's last words, here is something he wrote in December 1947, just weeks before his assassination: "In the end it will be as Rama commands me. Thus I dance as He pulls the strings. I am in His hands and so I am experiencing ineffable peace." You can follow the stream today at Twitter: #GandhiJayanti.
